REHAB leaders stated that the housing sector plays a vital role in the national economy, with direct and indirect linkages to more than 200 other industries and sectors. Therefore, they emphasized the need for modern, time-befitting policies and easier access to credit facilities to ensure the sector’s sustainable growth.

They further highlighted several challenges facing the sector, including rising construction material costs, complexities in land management, limited access to bank financing, and lengthy administrative procedures. The leaders sought the MP’s cooperation in addressing these issues through policy-level interventions.

He added that the sector not only contributes to infrastructure development but also plays a crucial role in employment generation and economic growth.
